The Holocaust Centre's vision is a world without genocide. It is a vast and
ambitious vision, but we are working towards it through a multiplicity of
smaller actions.
Our objectives are to:
* commemorate the victims of the Holocaust
* educate a generation of young people about the Holocaust and genocide
* raise awareness across the broader public
* stimulate more people to use their voice and challenge society's values
* engage our professionals and parliamentarians
* influence governments to take action in a timely way so that in future lives may be saved.
And we aim to achieve this by:
* presenting the experience of victims in a meaningful way in our museum and gardens
* embedding the voice of survivors to ensure that their experiences are
documented and preserved
* using survivors' experiences to educate the wider public about the
consequences of antisemitism and ideologies based on race hatred
* translating the complex history of the Holocaust into educational material
which will impact on young people's lives and values
* creating high-quality, accessible resources
* joining with other professional organisations to spread awareness of the
issues raised by the Holocaust and genocide
* providing timely information on current world crises so that people of all
backgrounds can make their voices heard
* challenging Parliamentarians and engaging in debate in order to influence
how policy is made
